Barriers to future attainment:
  • Gaps in prior learning, impacting on ability to develop good basic skills
  • Limited vocabulary
  • High number of children with limited emotional resilience and low self-esteem which  impacts on ability to rise to the challenge of more complex academic activities
  • Social issues in unstructured times which impact on learning when re-entering the classroom
  • Low attendance levels, this impacts on ability to access learning
  • Lack of available funding to provide appropriate resources to support learning at home

Raise attainment in Foundation Stage for pupil premium pupils.

Raise attainment in Phonics for pupil premium pupils.

Raise attainment in reading at the end of Key Stage 1 for pupils eligible for pupil premium
